Didn't Pat Neal walk on? I think he worked out pretty well for us - one of our best DL.

And for everyone walk on that comes and contributes to more then just being a practice player/hitting dummy, you have exponentially more that don't do anything more then that.

Appreciate everything walk-ons do, dont get me wrong, but only a select few come in and contribute more then that.

I thought that he either gray-shirted or delayed enrollment for a semester and then went on scholarship in January of his freshman year. So he really wouldn't be considered a walk on.

CLean and jerk starts from the ground or hanging position.
Push Jerk starts with the bar on the shoulders

That's called a "Clean and Jerk", isn't it?
I believe that is where you start with the bar hanging from your arms, bend the knees til the weight is right below, exectute the hang clean, gettign the bar back to the chest, and then explode the bar above the head.

His attitude is fine...believe me I would know...he has the right attitude a D-Lineman should have...out side the field...a great, smart kid !!

16 posts means you have no cred. So throwing your helmet and cussing out loud on the sidelines are okay, dad?

Been to many Ankeny Games and have multiple friends that played on the Ankeny Football Team. You must be from SEP. Throwing your helmet? Are you smoking? He takes it off on the sidelines whenever he made a big play and waves it around to pump up the crowd.

He isn't that good I went up against him this year and I didn't see anything special. He didn't touch our QB once

It's hilarious to me how so many people on here believe that the number of post a poster on here has is the determining factor of how knowledgable or credible a person is...

The kid is just that...a kid. Sure, he did get penalized a few times for late hits. Sure, he may have thrown his helmet and cursed on the sideline. To me this is more an indication that he cares and is passionate/intense than a testament to his negative attitude. I would guess that he wasn't commended for that behavior. I would also guess that if he didn't have that passion and intensity he wouldn't have been CIML Defensive POTY. We all know the kid that's 6'3" 230 and has all the physical tools but is passive and doesn't have that mean streak that's needed to be successful on the field.

Also, BigMan here...he is more qualified than anybody posting on here to speak about Jordan's ability and attitude. Trust me on that one...He is also probably more qualified to speak of anything ISU football than nearly anyone on here. Don't let his post count fool you.

How about a "McCarney Five" BigMan!!!

Been to every Ankeny game the last 3 years. I also know several Ankeny players and they would back me up. Also, he has not accepted the walk on to ISU.
