With D-Mac saying JJ has the juice...his nickname is now...

Juice.

Damn...kid already has a nickname before hitting the field. Josh "Juice" Johnson...I hope you're a good one!

I love it! Josh "Juice" Johnson sounds great! Only 15 days until we get to see him in action!
 
I don't want to sound pessimistic, but I hope Josh's success isn't a reflection of our defense.

That was the first thing that came to mind when I read the article but then I remembered the scrimmage Saturday was 1's vs 1's and 2's vs 2's, so JJ would have been going up against the 2nd string D.
 
I am Josh Johnson, uncle living in texas if anyone have any articles or pictures can you email them to me please. Lets stay excited about the upcoming season and use our combine energy to encourage each player to do their best. Welcome. The kid is a savior in Ames. We have struggled as of late in the running game. I Don't think he'll unseat Stevie Hicks as the #1 but he will get playing time and Stevie doesn't have the best track record at staying healthy. I recall the Troy Davis era when I lived in Ames and Josh Johnson is the most excitement around a back since TD. Can't wait to see him play!
 
I really hope that he is as good as I am hearing. We really need a change of pace back for Hicks. I thought that Scales would be that guy but unfortunately he can't stay healthy. Hopefully, for him, he will get healthy sometime, but for the present lets hope that Johnson is the real deal. The running game is going to be the key to getting us over the top, in my opinion.

Welcome to the Cyclone family, Uncle Lou. Thanks for stopping by the message board. As you can tell, we're all very excited about the season in general and Josh in particular. I hope everything goes well for him at ISU. Are you planning to come to any games?

We hope "Juice" not only makes you proud...but the rest of us just as delighted to have him in a Cyclone uniform! :)
 
I must admit, when I hear the word "Juice" in relation to sports (nicknames, whatever), the first thing that comes to mind is suplemental drugs.
