Good thought, but it won't work. We're not Auburn or Ohio State.

I say we take the name Ohio State, use it for 2011 and play Franklin, claim we didn't understand the rules and then suspend the real Ohio State for 2012.

I love how every short white receiver is compared to Wes Welker. Will we compare Albert Gary and Teddy Lampkin to Welker too? I doubt it.

I'm really hoping Lenz can become Iowa State's version of TJ Moe. They are the same height and look to be similar athletes. A Wes Welker type player. Really good guy for the underneath routes and finding space in a defense. We need a guy like Moe as it has to be nice for Gabbert to know he always has a guy to go to.

This could happen if Lenz puts on some weight, honestly he is probably a lot faster than Moe....

Howard was a blocking TE. I have no idea what his receieving skills are like right now. If we have to have a receiever out there it might be Richardsen.

It'd be Brun or Hammer. Richardson was a ways off this fall.

Has nothing to do with being white in this case. Wes Welker has more catches in the NFL the past 5 years than any other WR. I watched TJ Moe catch 15 balls against Iowa and kept thinking he was Mizzou's Welker. Same type player for the offense. I think Lenz can do that role. Similar in size and speed. Lenz has shown to be one our better WR's
