Three awesome bands. Saw Foreigner (along with Head East and Little River Band) in Hilton in 1977 (I think that was the year). Can't decide - not gonna vote.

Invalid Poll. No Boston.

Journey is better that Foreigner in my opinion. Styx is tough to categorize. I loved their early stuff but their later stuff was bad (I'm talking to you 'Mr Roboto').

Wrong again. Boston was light years better than these bands.

Rush doesn't belong on the list because they had a strong disdain for chasing pop hits. Bad Company or REO Speedwagon on the other hand...

I'd say yes to REO, no to Bad Company. I love Bad Company, think they were one of the most underrated bands of the 70s/80s - but their style is totally different. Much more... bar rock, I guess. Don't know how else to describe it other than that I would expect to walk into a dive bar in the early 70s and see Bad Company.

While I like all three bands, it's Journey without a question. They had more hits than the other bands, still have their hits played more often than the other bands, have a popular tour, and even had a video game made after them in the 80s.

REO, Styx & Journey (post Perry, I believe) were at the state fair grandstand a few years back. We didn't go to the concert, but we hung out and listened for a while. Memories... :)

Journey. I like some stuff by both the others, but I like a LOT of Journey songs. Wish I'd seen them at their peak.

NO REO? I saw Journey, REO Speedwagon, and Styx together at Hilton about 12 years ago. It was without Steve Perry but Journey was great.

Not exactly sure.
I used to think reo was o.k. Then about 15 years ago, you couldn't turn around without running into one of their concerts. Played the surf annually for 3 years or so. Out in Phoenix I get taken to a party, reo playing. Had another appreciation supper, who plays? Reo. Got real tired of them fast. They must have needed money bad because they were playing things where they couldn't have been paid more then a couple grand to play. Heck, their surf tickets were like 15 bucks and that place can only hold maybe 2500.

It was 77, my second or third weekend as a freshman. I was there - more in body than mind.
