It was mentioned that the contract states that the construction on the east side of Elwood/University can start any time the contractor wants (after July 1, the start of the fiscal year, I assume).

The work on the west side has to wait until after the season.

I’m no construction engineer, but if it’s me I’d want to get as much work done before students arrive, and then having to start planning around fan traffic in September, as possible.

I would guess that at the very least, they'll want to get footings poured on either side of University before winter.

I'm still having a hard time envisioning where the opponents equipment semi trailer is going to park? Is there room to back it up under the new walkway and down part of the ramp?

There's a level pad partway down the east ramp next to Jacobson. It's hard to see unless you're specifically looking for it.

Wikipedia still shows “largest crowds” despite 8 of the 10 (soon to be 10/10) are full capacity 61,500. Anyone know if that changes with the reno? I assume no

I know they did, but is that where it will park? Fans on the hillside will likely throw stuff at it, and you know some drunk idiot will climb the fence and jump on top of it or something stupid. It used to be parked OUTSIDE of the stadium alongside the building that was torn down and made into the new plaza.
I can only think of one equipment truck that will get cheesy nachos tossed at it.

Old concrete bollards still waiting to be disposed of. If they weren't so heavy, I'd get one for the back yard, and stick a plant on it.

Pollard has alluded to a couple times that we could see over capacity (61,500) game attendance this year. I'm assuming it's due to the two hillsides being bigger.

I’d imagine legally speaking they need to know max attendance. Guessing that figure gets released after completion. Probably needs to be reviewed by a state agency.

They're pouring the first section closest to the south side of the SPC. It's in full view unlike most things lately.

Still the ugliest logo in all of college sports. And that's saying something when you've got the KSU Wildcats out there.

Looks like a pretty sweet rig to me ...
