I agree. The special effects were great - they were very cool but not over the top. That's kind of rare these days. The acting was OK. The writing was pretty bad in places. And the stereotypes just kept coming in hit after hit.

But overall it was worth the price of admission to see it in a theater.

I actually thought the special effects in the first one were better. Which isn't anything bad about this one, but just shows how remarkable the first one was that I can still think that 22 years later.

Just saw it and it was okay I guess. Some good parts and lines, but overall just an average movie. I thought the ending was dumb.

Just saw it today. Entertaining popcorn movie, the level of dino-thrill I expected. If you let yourself loose into it, it's fun. It's easy to get hung up on logical flaws, and it had a predictable structure in many ways.

A few people mentioned the grab-the-margaritas part -- that was a hoot. I also laughed about the guy in the control room with the Jurassic Park shirt he "found on eBay."

Average movie? Smh. Just saw it today. ****ing awesome and blew the original out of the water. Chris Pratt is the real deal.

Chris Pratt is a badass, but I dont think it blew the original out of the water. Was it good? Yeah. Do I plan on buying it when it comes out? No.

The dialogue in this one was absolutely terrible, although I loved everything else.

I can't remember if the first one was as bad since I haven't seen it in years.

I'll take Chris Pratt over Sam Neill as the hero everyday.

I agree with this, especially after seeing Sam Neill in the Tudors. Chris Pratt is the man. FWIW, I thought the new one wasn't as bad as some are suggesting. It wasn't the best, but let's be honest, the original set the bar so damn high. That said, Jurassic World still beats out a lot of the other movies today.

Ok maybe I went a tad far but I scoff at those that think this was a blah movie.

The first one tried to paint Jeff Goldblum as a sex symbol and those ******* kids were beyond annoying.

Just watched it a few years ago when it was brought back as a 3-D movie. A turd in 3-D is still a turd
