Way up there
So Hawk fans get crap for claiming the better team lost but its reasonable for us to say that about NDSU. They are the best team we've played hands down.

Does NDSU have plans to build a >30,000 seat outdoor stadium, increase investment to the rest of their athletic department, and try and make a jump to FBS? I don't follow them really, but I know they seem to have some success in other sports as well. Or are they content with their present roll in college football?

NDSU going FBS would be an awful decision for them I think. They wouldn't have nearly as much success and their fanbase would get less excited. If they can still hold the attention of North Dakota in FCS, why give up the sure thing of competing for titles there? Most schools that moved up to FBS have acted in the hopes of attracting more attention to their program by doing so.

The fans would love this, so far publicly there has been zero talk from NDSU about doing this. Tickets are such a pain to get, and a new stadium would be awesome.

To be honest, I am kind of happy where we are. We just lost our AD, and hired a guy from today. He is from Stoney Brook :( , so he has to figure out a gameplan. I also think we are more in a wait and see mode, with what is going to happen when the Power 5 conferences move on and what becomes to the rest. At this point really noone knows. We hear all types of rumors, but the future is pretty muddeled right now.

As mentioned earlier, I love playoff football. It's great to get a real National Champ. It's better to be a big fish in a small pond.. then mediocracy in the next level and go to the Gaylord's Hotel Bowl on Dec. 22nd.

Keep us posted on the invite. The only thing more interesting than Missouri Valley football is Mountain West football.

I guess you'd have to say the MVC is the SEC of the FCS. To compare with FBS, remember they get 21 fewer scholarships. So how good is NDSU with 21 more athletes? Yikes! Look out 'Bama!!
