He'll be able to get some snaps, develop, and come back as a senior next season and take a larger role.

Just watching this guy run down QBs from behind is impressive. He likely wont look like Berryman in the Big12, but he looks like he's got burst and good instincts.

I'm guessing he's a depth guy for this year and they are hoping he develops into a possible starter next year.

I'm assuming there was some academic concern from most schools that caused them to pass.

His rivals rating is pretty low at 5.3. Not sure academics would impact is rivals rating. So it may be one of those high risk, high upside kids that doesn't get many looks.
