He's not a burner, but he can move for his size. Big body in open space that can move laterally is very good when you're talking about obstructing passing lanes. Think JJ Watt, but of course excluding the fact that Mitchell isn't a genetic freek like JJ.

Just conjecture, but maybe the staff has Meyer at Leo to be a run stopper on first down and short yardage. The nice thing about the Leo position is it gives the defense flexibility to send or not send a 4th rusher from a lot of different positions. If Meyer is Leo, maybe we telegraph Meyer is the 4th rusher. Not a horrible thing.

I was under the impression that Mitchell has been able to gain all of his weight back yet. If he continues to bulk back up maybe he will get moved around. Besides if he moves well for his size than the position could be a good fit for him IMO. It sounds like we need more help on the ends which is why he wanted to bring mitchell, which is a talented veteran into a position that needs help.
