Brady hasn't said anything himself yet, it's ESPN leaking supposed sources close to him who say he is. If he is retiring he probably wanted to wait longer before announcing it.
Ton of parking is all Kaufman has going for it. Not a restaurant or bar within 10 minutes that you would feel comfortable going to, and better hope your car doesn’t break down on the way home. It’s not so much having a downtown stadium (which I would prefer personally) it’s having it closer to the population center if you want people to go to 20-30 games/year. I’d say I’m the prototypical KC royals fan that lives in JoCo- and it’s a hassle to get to stadium for a weekday game - only how I’m going is for a few weekend games/year. An Uber is an absolute pain in the ass and there’s zero public transportation. I’d likely go to 15-20 games a year if stadium was downtown, or on other side of the metro. Plus that ‘ton of parking’ at Kauffman is 25/game (often more than the game) ; at least downtown I can get an Uber for that or snag street parking that is not an option currently.I love sports but pro sports franchises getting cities to build brand new stadiums when the ones they have are completely fine absolutely infuriate me. Arrowhead is a great stadium. I'm going today and really looking forward to it.
Furthermore I don't get the obsession with downtown ballparks for teams, especially in 2022 when less people are going to the office than ever. Yeah, let's move from a place with a ton of parking to a place where it's going to be really hard to park. That'll bring 'em in!
How we feeling about the game today? Tough to think Mahomes won't carry this team to the Super Bowl again, but I am a biased Chiefs fan. Defense going to have to make a couple plays today. Secondary hopefully holds up somewhat.
Go Chiefs!
What are you going to do in a layover? Use the bathroom, get some fast food and maybe a drink or two. What more do you need? Sure, is not Orlando with a mall inside, or slot machines like Vegas, but it's an airport, kind of bland, lots of concrete wall's kind of like Hilton, but it does the job it's supposed to do.This. It's great if you live here, but terrible if you have to layover here for any reason. The amenities are nonexistent.

For the chiefs it’s different because the game is the entire day. The parking is needed and necessary and it’s completely fine where it’s at.
The Royals will force Jackson County to help pay for a new stadium downtown or risk losing them to the Kansas side of the line(probably an area up by the soccer stadium). I agree the "new" Arrowhead will be built on the current site of the K. The problem with Arrowhead is you can't realistically put a roof on it. KC desperately needs a facility to host Super Bowls and Final Fours. If the Royals were to move (which I think is just stupid as Kaufman is an excellent stadium), I could see the Chiefs try to build a new stadium on the Kaufman footprint so that Arrowhead could still be used temporally .
It's still crazy IMO. Both of those stadiums are great but we seem to be a society that has to have all the bells and whistles no matter what. Plus I would hope that Hunt wouldn't try to force Jackson county to help build a $2-3 billion stadium (?) when the last upgrade tax barely passed. Maybe having all the recent success changes that.
