Hotels near KU are looking expensive. Has anyone ever stayed in Topeka and Ubered over?

I know Leipold is a good coach, and doing a great job. I do wonder how much of this quick turnaround for KU can be attributed to NIL, though.

I highly recommend sitting with the players' parents (in the section closest to the Iowa State locker room).

They have no big name recruits. I think they spend their $ on MBB.
I do not think NIL is a factor at all. They have a good coach and got a QB few else wanted who turned out to be very good. Dangerous.

Also - NIL has not been in place long enough to significantly impact most college football teams - especially KU. If they had gotten big time talents you would have heard about it.

Just my opinion.

The games slated for ESPN2 or ESPNU are this and SMU @ UCF.

Games this week that will shape that decision:

Baylor @ Iowa State
Duke @ Kansas
TCU @ SMU
Georgia Tech @ UCF

I feel like we probably get ESPN2 unless we both lose and both SMU and UCF win.

My #1 suggestion is don't sit too low. Honestly you probably want to be in the 10th to 15th row. The first few rows are so low you can't even see the field over the heads of the players standing on the sideline.

If Kansas beats Duke this Saturday, I predict they will be close to a sellout for ISU. Might be anyway.

Last time I went to Lawrence, I used Stub Hub to buy a parking pass in the lot next to their Memorial Union. Right across the street from the ISU visiting section.

Edited to identify it as the Mississippi River Garage.

I have parked at the lots south of campus by Phog and walked through campus......but that was when we were brining as many/more fans than KU....this whole "them being better" is going to throw a wrench into the easy access to this away game, lol.

If they both win this weekend ISU will travel crazy well. I would guess over5,000. Lots of ISU alums in the KC area. Easy drive from Iowa. Chance to stop in KC and eat BBQ. Hell I've about convinced myself to go if they both win. Time for ISU to take care of business Saturday.
