I would normally cheer for the Big XII in this game. But KUs unwillingness to play WSU in the regular season is gutless IMO. I mean you guys invented basketball and booing. You claim to be an elite program Yet you are afraid to schedule a regular season game against a talented in state program? I hope they hand your rear to you on a silver platter than then get beat the next game.
Spoken like someone without a clue.

Wichita State ended the series, not KU. KU drilled them in their last game and they called it quits. Now, when they have a semi-decent team they feel they can whine to the media and say "hey we want to schedule them, they just wont" despite Marshall or their AD never ONCE contacting KU about a series?

Maybe you shouldn't talk about things you clearly dont know **** about.

College basketball was invented at Springfield College, Mass. More KU mythology.

Maybe it's just me, but when ISU wins a game or a tournament the first thought that NEVER crosses my mind is "OMG...I need to run over to a message board for another fanbase and start a thread about it".

And people wonder why some fanbases are not very well-regarded...

Haha, no kidding. The obsession KU fans are getting over us is starting to become kinda weird.

KU doesn't like competition in their own backyard. They are a self proclaimed "elite" group of folks that have no better background than we do being from Kansas, but yet since they invented the game, everyone must kiss the ground they walk on.

The fact that they post here simply shows that they are worried about our passionate fanbase and then potential for losing their grip on their small world.

Two quotes from the day of the Big XII Championship. Both prior to us beating KU.

At one restaurant an old guy walks up to us while we are eating and says, "Iowa State? Rock Chalk Jayhawk!", while doing some sort of ritualistic dance and waving his hands in the air.

Later in the day while waiting for a table at lunch, a KU fan walks by and says, "You Iowa State losers can have our table!"
