Have to root for KSU. If KU and KSU split, Iowa State could still get swept by KSU if all other games among those 3 teams go "as expected." If KU wins, ISU would have to gain a split vs. KSU, under same scenario.

Using mred w/ projected winners

Kansas wins at KSU
1. Kansas (14 - 4)
Defeated Iowa State based on record against #3 teams.
2. Iowa State (14 - 4) Lost to Kansas based on record against #3 teams.
3. Kansas State (11 - 7) Defeated Baylor and Texas Tech based on record against #1 teams.
4. Texas Tech (11 - 7) With Baylor, lost to Kansas State based on record against #1 teams. Defeated Baylor based on record against #6 teams.
5. Baylor (11 - 7) With Texas Tech, lost to Kansas State based on record against #1 teams. Lost to Texas Tech based on record against #6 teams.
6. Texas (9 - 9) Defeated TCU based on record against #1 teams.
7. TCU (9 - 9) Lost to Texas based on record against #1 teams.
8. Oklahoma (6 - 12)
9. Oklahoma State (3 - 15)
10. West Virginia (2 - 16)

KSU def. Kansas
1. Iowa State (14 - 4)

2. Kansas (13 - 5)
3. Kansas State (12 - 6)
4. Baylor (11 - 7) Defeated Texas Tech based on record against #1 teams.
5. Texas Tech (11 - 7) Lost to Baylor based on record against #1 teams.
6. Texas (9 - 9) Defeated TCU based on record against #2 teams.
7. TCU (9 - 9) Lost to Texas based on record against #2 teams.
8. Oklahoma (6 - 12)
9. Oklahoma State (3 - 15)
10. West Virginia (2 - 16)

Obviously, a whole lot of other things can happen beyond this game, but it's a way to simplify the paths.

If KSU does not get the job done tonight, KU has at least a share of the conference. They will not lose at home.

I'm cheering for KU. We are one game behind KSU as it stands. Both teams will have a couple more slip ups but in my opinion KU is more vulnerable to slip ups than KSU is.

Anyone not rooting for KSU tonight is a fool. I don’t know how you see a team as vulnerable after they just thumped Tech and then in your preferred scenario wins their their toughest game left on the schedule. They win tonight they aren’t finishing worse than 14-4.

I'm on the Purple Kitty bandwagon too. Seen KU pull out too many wins at the Phog. We need them to drop as many as possible.

Bingo. KU isn't going to lose at home, so they are already a game up on us in that regard. We can't afford for them to pickup a road win in one of their toughest remaining road games.

Obviously KSU winning is preferable, but there are a lot of games left, and there's not a team in the league that's infallible, and only a couple of opponents are likely to be total pushovers (OSU and WV at home). I still think 5 losses probably wins the conference, and 6 losses might share it.

KSU still has @ Baylor, @ Texas, @ Kansas. KSU really needs to win tonight. This would be a big road win for KU that I don’t want them to get. KU won’t lose at home and I think they get it done @Oklahoma, @Oklahoma State, and @TCU. KU winning tonight puts the Jayhawks in the driver seat again.

I hope they stalemate till they go into octuple overtime, exhausting sooooo much energy they both tank into oblivion for the remainder of the season. I want them to tank so bad it's the most painful event in the state of Kansas since the dust bowl but this will be called the bust bowl.
