Cf old timers will remember,
But this thread reminds me of the thread after Leonard Johnson got ejected after the unlv game and there were several people who wanted him kicked off the team.

Lol I do remember that!

I remember that. Wasn't so frustrated with a player before in my life. We should of won that game. There is one that sure did settle down.

My girlfriend talked to Tyrus in class today and he said Booker would not get in trouble for the finger because he was not flipping off the cameras. He said he was flipping off, and I quote, "some guy talking **** about his mom". So, that's what Tyrus thinks.
Now it just seems kinda funny, doesn't it? Funny how a few days just makes the problem seem like not a big deal. A suspension was never in question, and it shouldn't have been.

I didn't think it was a big deal nor did I think the girl in Hilton was (TTU?).

I find Releford grabbing his junk right in front of our students and cheerleaders more offensive and I am sure nothing happened to him.

BTW talked to someone who worked security at KU game and KU chose to leave past the student section when they were trying to get them to leave through a closer door. It was their collective bird flip no doubt.

Now I see it differently. Booker was being irrational with this response.
That poor kid in West Virginia was probably just confused about family relationships, and didn't know the diference between 'mom,' 'sister,' 'cousin,' and a bunch of other family words.

yep, I remember that. We went to the game, and I remember LJ getting booed pretty harshly when he got booted. Even some ISU fans joined in, but once he was gone, it was not a huge deal. On the way back to the hotel, I fired up CF on my phone and was shocked by the number of people calling for him to be kicked off the team.

I thought Booker was flipping off the camera, but it makes a little more sense if it were to the crowd. Not OK, but I can see where it was coming from

Sounds like this is a done deal (from Iowa State Men's Basketball's Facebook

"
Anthony Booker issues an apology for incident at West Virginia.

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State senior men’s basketball player Anthony Booker made the following statement Monday:

“I have personally written President Clements and the West Virginia student body president apologizing for making an obscene gesture toward the West Virginia student section in our basketball game Saturday. I got caught up in the emotions of a hard-fought game and lost my composure. It was a poor decision on my part and I am sorry for conducting myself in this manner. I also wish to express regret for putting our university and our basketball program in a poor light. I have learned a valuable life lesson as a result of my poor decision.â€￾"

I think most West Virginians consider those words synonyms.

Wait, people actually thought Booker was flipping off the camera. Excuse me while I laugh a little HAHAHAHAHA. Are you serious? Why the **** would he flip off the camera? I knew right away he was flipping off the crowd/someone in the crowd.

I doubt there is one Hawkeye or Jayhawk fan that saw that video or picture who didn't take it personally.
