Mel Kiper has him as the 4th best offensive tackle in next years draft.

CBS sports has him as the #1 offensive guard in the 2012 draft.

If he has an outstanding season this year, he has a chance to be ISU's first, first round pick in ISU history. He also has a chance to be either the second or third, second round pick in ISU's history. If he manages to be a first round pick, it would have a major effect on recruiting. Let's all hope and pray for a healthy, dominating season from KO.

He's had his inconsistencies, but if you watch him play he frequently makes some poor defender his ***** play after play after play.

Big fan of KO.

I think he's a guard, perhaps a RT. I would love to see him among those players who are talked about in the Top 10.
 
Watched him a lot in the spring game, he had three plays ending in Horne's end around for a touchdown where he pancaked two guys and on the third was out on the edge where he picked up Leonard Johnson and drove him all the way out of bounds.

I had no idea he rolled at 6'6", 354 though. For his size he moves it pretty well, which is probably why he's so highly thought of.
 
He's a mauler, but he really needs to quit holding dudes in the red zone. I bet he committed drive killing penalties that kept points off the board 10-12 times last year.

Don't get me wrong, I love KO but that's one aspect of his game that needs to improve for a lot of reasons.
 
KO's biggest strength is being able to handle elite DEs. His biggest weakness is consistency when his competition isn't elite. IMO.

The only killing he needs to do is killing some poor suckers on the other team. He is an absolute monster. :yes:

It was hilarious when he dominated Leonard and they hugged afterwards.

IMO, his weakness is when he doesn't block the DE. He owned Clayborn last year and the year before but on a stunt is when he get's hurt. If he could improve that, then he could leap clear up to the top of Olinemen. I don't know if he possesses that ability or not. I certainly hope so.

Agreed. That really stood out in the Iowa game.
 
Cylentbutdeadly you bring back memories. My dad got his PHD at ISU in the late 60's, early 70's. He was friend with Johnny Majors, we used to go to his house and toss the football around with him. I was about 10 at the time. George Amundson was a great athlete, exceptional at RB and QB. We moved to nebraska the year George hit Willie Jones from about 30 yards out to tie the game at 23 with no time left. Tom Goedjen, the future all-american, was a freshman and mised the extra point so the game ended in a tie. I was 11, and cried like a baby. That was my first experience with "we are ISU".

I can't wait for the next couple of years, I think all our programs are on the right track. My 40 years as a fan bleeding cardinal and gold are about to pay off..and it will be worth the wait. Go Cyclones.
