Agreed, but at the same time let's be realistic next week. Let's not complain that we didn't win by 50. This team won't win games like that. I really have been happy, so far, with how our defense has played. I know they are missing their stud, but still. We have seemed to have decent penetration:biglaughsorry I smile every time I type that word) Hopefully we can get on with this game, get the monkey off our back and get to the Army game which I will be at and will most likely be the last of the year for me so we better perform.

Truth hurts.

This game does nothing to make me feel any different than I did after last week. In fact, I almost feel worse right now. We still look very ugly out there. Nothing can hide that fact... not even the scoreboard. Sorry.

Just to toot my own horn, but... I would be happy if I'm wrong on the ISU score and we put a few more up though.

Kent state is going to have a hard time moving the ball, remember, they scored 28 against us last year. Most of their yards were on the ground with Jarvis, and he was also their leading receiver. This year, Javis is out and so is their starting QB.
Our defense is better than it was last year, if our offense can play smart football like it did in week 1, I would be shocked if KentState scored more than 10 points. If our offense plays like it did against Iowa, Kent st. could put up 20 but not much more. I think our offense will do okay, but I also expect Kent state to turn it over at least 3 times which should help. This game is all on ISU's offense to win or lose the game, but they will win.

When you are up 34-7, what good does it do to push offensively? Especially in the 4th quarter when the game is over. None, IMO.

Good game. Be happy we walked away with this when many were thinking the game would be tough/close.
