Would this even have been possible? I may be remembering wrong but I feel like we played like, 7-deep all season

I'm not going down this rabbit hole but a starter was one of them reportedly and they were panicked when Fred left because they were worried who would watch them or something.

I must have missed where we've already won 2 games and gotten to the Sweet 16 this year.

Is 2/4 Sweet 16s not good enough? 4 consecutive tourneys including the first two with a rag-tag group?

What's your end game here? Do you want a different coach? Would you rather KG is let go a long time ago?

The team held with byu when byu is playing with the second best metrics in the counrnry and houston with injury issues as well. So yes, they have shown it.
The difference in perception from a narrow loss and a narrow win are hilariously huge with sports fans.

Now that he’s completely off the team, I’ll say what I’ve heard. I heard from 2 different people with sources (and no, I do not know who these sources are) that Keshons dad demanded additional money to play in the tournament. How much I don’t know. Obviously he was hurt and who knows how effective he’d be. But, I would bet that he would want to give it a try…whether it was this week or next week.

To me, an injury that isn’t seasonal ending like an acl or broken leg or requires immediate surgery, you usually see players as questionable or out indefinitely. Keep trying to rehab and see if he can go eventually. So, when they just flat shut him down, that raises questions. This rumor makes more sense than any other explanation I’ve heard.

I would guess this is between the dad and TJ and Keshon would rather play, but I have no idea.
Gilbert is a grown man. If he wanted to play he would. Maybe this is exactly what he wanted, but was too scared to say/do it on his own so daddy is helping. That would make more sense than an independent young man caving to his daddy.

My end game is a Final 4 and that becomes more difficult when we are dealing with drama this time of year instead of preparing for a run.

Back at what? Discussing issues relevant to the team right now? God forbid anyone talk about Iowa State basketball on the Iowa State basketball board.
Well, Gilbert isn't with the team right now, so it's no longer relevant. So maybe we can stop discussing Gilbert as part of the team.

If you want to discuss issues relevant to the team, then lets discuss Lipsey's status. Hopefully someone can provide information on how Lipsey is moving around the court during the open practice today
