I'm all for some spirited tribalism, but I've also been to 25+ ISU/Iowa football games at this point and the idea that there are more bad Iowa fans than ISU fans is simply not true - it's a 1:1 (which you could argue is a good thing).

The type of ****** behavior is a little different - it's a weirdly cocky v weirdly defensive situation - but at the end of the day it's all the same fun/annoying ********.

I've been to a ton as well. I've been to Iowa City for it. It's not the same. We have plenty total morons too but the ratio is definitely not 1:1. There is an utter beligerence to them that is unmatched.

I'm all for hating on the Squaks, but let's not act like our fan base doesn't have it's fair share of bad apples.

Every single fan base has their fair share.

I will say this for ISU fans, as a road fan or neutral fan coming to Ames, it is a very fair fanbase to interact with. If you're good natured and keep it to friendly ribbing ISU fans return that in kind for the most part.

If you choose to speak to ISU fans differently, it isn't going to go well.

I think single games usually start 2-3 weeks before the 1st game

And that's also confirmed outside of our ISU bias. Talk to fans of other B1G teams and they'll all mention Iowa fans as the worst or among the worst in the conference/college sports writ large.

My brother might've been a bit skeptical of my Iowa fan ******** and then he got jumped in Indy during the Mich/Iowa B1G Champ football game.

Going to a bathroom in a hotel/restaurant, 2 Iowa fans saw his Mich garb and jumped him, trying to kick him in the face while he was on the ground. These were young guys and he's a middle aged man. Now he hates them as much as I do. Lucky for him he wasn't seriously hurt. Iowa fans are the absolute worst, they really are.
