Last week a flubbed snap that led to a 2 pt conversion cost us the game. This week I think a missed PAT costs us the game.

I can't argue with the folks that are picking KSU, but I really feel like we're going to see some real improvement on the offensive side of the ball and the ST will rise to the level of mediocre and we'll get the win. While we have seen the same frustrating things, this year, as every year under Campbell, we've also usually improved as the season went on, so no reason to think it won't be this year, as well.

It's a rivalry game, Farmageddon, the best of the B12. Anything might happen. So yes, we may write any rationalization we wish here before the fact, it's a bit like preseason poll observations in that way. But I wouldn't bet a spent curling iron on this one, nor miss a minute of play.

What do you think the difference makers will be?

ISU 34 - 31 over the purple people of the plains.

We will need some of our key players back including Brock, Norton, and Verdon, and dare I say Remsburg. Yes, good luck with that.

To win we must be unpredictable, successful in stretching the field with good pass protection, have a run game over 100 yards, have parity with ST's, and get +1-2 in the turnovers. Defense needs to have their usual stellar game. We will rely on them more this year than we thought.

I know that is asking a lot. One can dream.

I think it's a low scoring game. I think we can limit K-State's offense but I'm not sure we're done making a bunch of mistakes on offense and special teams. If we clean that part of our game up, I think we're good enough to win by 10. If we continue to make a bunch of mistakes, this game could end up looking a little like the Baylor game. Final prediction:

Purple Kansas: 23

I honestly don't consider most of our remaining Big 12 conference members, as hated, with the possible exception of OuT, for obvious reasons. Heated rivalry might be a better term. Some more rivals than others, some heated more than others. None really hated, I don't believe. Maybe just my mood today. I don't feel like hating anybody today.

I might even go as far as saying I don't hate Iowa. That might have been a little hard to say. No, I kinda do hate Iowa. It's too ingrained. Certain of the fans and media of various schools, meh, maybe a little hate there.

I don't hate the schools and most of the fans, most of the time.

Ok, I was going to give you a thumbs up reaction until I read the sentence regarding Iowa. You went way too far in not committing to a visceral hatred of anything and everything Hawk. I could get sick watching them get a big win and can be almost 5-year old Christmas gitty in a bad loss.
