We are going to be at The Wheel at 8 a.m. for breakfast and beers! Looking forward to the Sea of Red on game day! Go CYCLONES!!

Just saw this! $20 bucks for a KU ticket? What is the world coming to.
Just text my KU coworker... he thinks because of a lot of optimism because of the TCU game.
I told him to expect massive ISU crowd.

That is a good point about the potential KU optimism but I imagine a lot of it is ISU fans. I am holding out for some last minute price drops to pick up some sub $20 tickets.

Just booked a hotel downtown KC for Saturday night. Now all I need is a cheap hotel for Friday and I’m set.
We plan to get there around 8 and do breakfast and tailgate. Anything in Lawrence I should check out after the game?

There will be a lot of ISU fans there.

I think this is going to be an understatement. We have good # of fans in Manhattan, KS last year. I can only imagine how many will show this Saturday.

I'll be with 2 buddies & we'll be rolling out of Central IA early Saturday morning. Plan is to hit some pregame festivities around the stadium before the game and then drive back home directly after the game. Gotta love that 3 hoursish drive!!

Alright folks I am putting the final touches on my itinerary, just looking for a couple of recommendations. First time in Lawrence.

Friday night dinner in KC. Looking for something unique or slightly upscale but not over the top fine dining.
Saturday morning, is it worth is to check out The Wheel or will it be hell trying to fight the crowd and actually get a decent breakfast in?
Tailgate park at houses vs the lots. I want to get a good feel for the town/college if that makes a difference
Following the game, drive right back to KC and enjoy downtown or hang out a bit in Lawrence before we make our way?
Please and thank you.
