He's upset that there was more offensive action in that game than TOE's full season.

Also does he really think that if ISU played Iowa today, that we wouldn't win?
ISU has gotten better since week 2, light years better, Iowa lost their QB and 2 TEs, MUCH WORSE. I hate that this game is played in week 2 because Matt has shown that our team isn't prepared for games in September.
We wouldn't beat Iowa if we played today, because we wouldn't run the offense we've seen the last 7-8 games.

We would go right back to trying to out-Iowa Iowa and lose a close game like we always do.

That will happen next fall as well, unless Kirk retires.

When Campbell didn't try to out-Iowa Iowa, our offense did really well (2017). Since then, it has been manure.

2019 wasn't a terrible plan either, but we just completely **** the bed with the drop INTs, fumbling the punt, and then got some bad calls down the stretch too.

2022 was a game we had no business winning, but Iowa made enough uncharacteristic mistakes that it washed them out.

I will still argue that we win the 2019 game if it wasn't for the second weather delay. We had Iowa on their heels.

Ross went full blown Hawk this morning on KXNO. Diminishing Iowa States win on Saturday night with a bunch of back handed compliments. I that game really hurt his feelings.
I heard that too. He said that he was getting texts on Friday from Cyclone fans saying things like Iowa sucks, yadda, yadda, yadda. He said he was so annoyed by them he was actively rooting against ISU to rub it in their faces.

Yeah I am sure that he needed those "texts" to root against ISU. At least he didnt say they came from "friends" it would have been less believable.

Yeah complaining about friends and acquaintances texting you/giving you a hard time is such a typical think skinned hawk move. Ever since Iowa clinched the west the narrative has moved away from their soft AF schedule to "they just keep finding a way". Michigan is going to kill Iowa.

Fun fact, the Sun Belt East has a stronger power ranking than the BIG10 West

This. They're also 18-1 in november since like 2019. Other teams can improve as the year goes along as well.

I also like Ross but sometimes I can't stand when he refuses to take off his Iowa hat and actually talk about Iowa State without their being a "but" or a back handed compliment.

I liked the Fanatics show, but looking back, I felt bad for CW. It was pretty clear Chris was putting in the effort to watch and do his homework on Iowa so he could talk intelligently on the show, and I never got the sense Ross put in the same effort.

It was still a good show, and I know Chris & Ross are still good friends, but it could've been much better if Ross had matched Chris's effort.

Is anyone calling into these shows that all thought ISU would miss a bowl when they got to 4 wins and asking if they think ISU will make a bowl now?

I always laughed when Ross would make comments about he wished Chris had a cohost that was as big an Iowa fan as Chris was an ISU fan. I found it to be a joke because when Ross hosts with anyone other than Chris he’s the biggest hawk homer and bags on ISU.

I loved that on one of their Iowa Everywhere pods Ross tried to pass off that famous rant about Iowa basketball off as a joke too. He meant every word

Safe to say we'd let that go if Ross just owned it. He went bananas.

In 2022, we tried to lose it many times as well. Neither team probably deserved to win that one...but I'll take the W!
