I get that way more with Williams. Hassell won't talk about his vaca unless its brought up to him or he has a funny story. Williams seems to be fixated on his vacations sometimes and all his great connections to cool people. It's good to a point, but I guess I have trouble relating. Maybe I'm just a simpleton
What would you ACTUALLY like for them to discuss? please, do tell us what MAJOR sports are happening in the middle of ******* July.

He’s annoying version of Trent Condon because he just parrots an amalgamation of takes from Ken and Trent when it comes to the local teams but comes off as a know it all 24/25 kid , until it comes to a topic that happened before he was born that he immediately has to let everyone know why it’s because he doesn’t know something.
I turned it after work today and turned it off within a minute when I heard Eickholt with him and it was Hawkeye talk. He had Shane Rirodan on yesterday who isn't too bad as I like Shane's insight on Chicago sports. They were talking about Happy Gilmore 2 then they started to do a top 3 all time sports movies and Lucas started with The Sandlot and Shane just laughed at him. That was the only reason I even kept listening because Shane started to give him crap how he has bad taste in movies if he put that one in his top 3.

It's been awhile since one of CW's cool people have had a falling out unless you count the certain Des Moines based ag supplier CEO that had problems this spring. I don't know if they were buddies or not but those threads got shut down in record time.
Really isn’t. I can’t imagine being on radio trying to fill in time during this period. Basically just speculate on the upcoming football season but that gets old after a while till it actually starts.

Definitely a unique situation for them.....to be relatable you share about yourself a bit, etc and then you pair that with likely listeners also following on social media accounts, so you hear and see a lot about their lives.I get that way more with Williams. With that being said, we all probably at times grumble about work and life (but to our friends/family and not thousands of listeners), but sometimes can feel a bit like "must be rough....you have to go to Ireland and sit in the front row at bball games for work"
I don't know that situation, but that balance of authentic "this is my guy" (but they also are a sponsor) to not being talked about or whatever is a reminder that talk shows/radio have that great skill of advertising without it seeming like it.
Like if the Kabersky brothers backed out of sponsoring and another lawn care company poneyed up, of course it'd naturally be "with all this rain and storms, I needed to find a reliable person to keep my lawn looking fresh while I was knee deep in football preseason work.....my guy Jason at Jason's Lawncare is a Cyclone through and through and will take care of you...I've been having him take care of the lawn for years and you should too!"

That's one of the reasons I started listening to Dan Patrick on XM. KXNO would always throw in an extra local commercial that aired when the DP show came back from a break, meaning you'd miss some of the show every commercial break.
The only drawback to football season- Mitch Holtus is on M&C every ******* day.
