Not all turnovers are created equal. Miami ranks 10th in kenpom defensive steal % which is elite. Preventing live ball turnovers is the key to the game.
This is great information for people who really want to be looking for pregame keys. Unfortunately, people only “see” or “read” what they want and are completely missing the point in a lot of cases.

I have only seen one expert pick ISU, and he's more of a college football guy (Chip Patterson). I love it. Perceptions change so quickly in the tournament. Nobody is acknowledging that Auburn was a mess down the stretch and that Miami barely got out of the first round.

Granted, we've had our own luck (fired coach, Hepburn injury), but nobody is giving us much credit. Just as TJ and the players prefer it.

Never apologize for being lucky. It's a given in sports to make it to the top that along with being good, you also have to be lucky be it a little or a lot.

Yes there was the Hepburn injury........but it was all but a home game for Wisconsin. Who was the lucky one? You think for a second had Hepburn not been injured and Wisconsin won ANYONE would have opined how lucky Wisconsin was to play in Milwaukee? Heck no.......it would be just how superior the Big Ten conference is.

Yeah I assume KU fans will cheer for Iowa State since we are a known commodity to them if we face them in the E8. However, I also thought in KC this year the KU fans would cheer for ISU against Tech and all them around me were pro Tech.

They cheered for Tech because they knew only an uncalled goal-tend saved their Phoggy arses in Lawrence.

Wisconsin had no ball handler when their PG went down with the injury. Davidson and Davis are not effective PG's.

My biggest concern with Miami is if all 3 of those guards can handle pressure. Our defense looks far less exotic. Turnovers are going to determine this game. I think we will be able to beat them on the boards.
