I posted this in a different thread a while back.

I decided to look back at our kicking game on the Cyclones website.

2024 Kyle Konrardy 75% 12 attempts
2023 Chase Contreaz 81% 26 attempts
2022 Jace Gilbert 60% 20 attempts
2022 Drake Nettles 33% 3 attempts
2021 Andrew Mevis 87% 23 attempts
2021 Connor Assalley 100% 4 attempts
2020 Connor Assalley 68% 19 attempts
2019 Connor Assalley 79% 19 attempts
2019 Brayden Narverson 50% 4 attempts
2018 Connor Assalley 70% 23 attempts
2017 Garrett Owens 77% 22 attempts
2016 Cole Netten 94% 17 attempts

2018, 2019, 2022 are the years where our opponents had a higher field goal percentage than us which is surprising as it always feels like our opponents have better kickers than us.
Kyle ended up 21-28 for 75%.

Which game did his kicking lose us a game? Then we will discuss which games his kicks won us some games.
His missed FG against K State didn't cost us the game but it sure would have made a lot of people less nervous if he'd made it. After watching TTU march down and score in the last 2 minutes I wasn't confident we could hold KSU.

He hit 76% of his field goals, which puts at at #10 in the Big 12. Not awful, not great. Should improve as he's a freshman.

He was near automatic inside 40 (yes, the K-State miss was bad) which is a nice to have. Has the leg but needs to improve next year in 40+ kicks.

Also, a couple of his misses are as bad of kicks as I’ve seen this year which stick in people’s minds more than the near automatic makes inside 40.
