No problem at all with how Prohm handled Lard. I don’t think Lard will ever play anywhere else, but I hope I’m wrong. I always supported the way Prohm handled McKay as well. That was a case though where the player got the message through his head.
This is so spot on I cant say it enough. Things that he has set in place for them and they do/don't do is a big deal as opposed to us we would say "that's BS he should be playing" Its not our call its CSP. Also as far as stuff that's disciplinary its none of our business either way.Quite frankly he doesnt owe you, me or any other fan any explanations. It’s his program and he can set the rules/consequences.
And I’ll add he is probably doing a service by protecting the players image by not explaining every little thing.
Are you Lard? Are you on the team? That’s my point. None of us have the full story. I want people to stop blaming the players. We have zero idea of the whole truth.
People don’t go to wellness centers for something to do.....
You want people to stop blaming the player - and blame the coach. Not sure CSP is a hippy lettuce guy. Doesn't seem like a bar guy on a week night. Really sure CSP never started a fight in practice. He MAY have called a few guys selfish in his way, but his job is to get the team together. Which he did to the tune of 23 wins.
CSP has a top 30 winning percentage as a coach for those in the game at least 5 years. Top 10 offenses, top 30-ish defenses. 350 D1 teams. Kids graduate. Kids play pro ball.
Yeah - what a steaming pile.
See this post right before yours. I won’t pretend to know all the answers or even what the current rules are.
I’ll just say this. Part of my frustration comes from there seems to be unclear standards. I’m certain they are much more clear to those associated with the team but as a fan it is frustrating to not understand what the problem is. Some of that is probably just not our business but it all comes down to do fans have faith the program is running correctly.
This kind of stuff is what has made Steve's tenure in Ames less enjoyable. He does not explain much to the fans but seems to always have someone in a rules violation or in some kind of dog house. The off the court things start effecting our substitutions an play patterns which make a frustrating on the court product at times. We didn't seem to have these things fester quite so much in the past.
Hold the guys accountable and all but also know they very young men that are finding their way through life. All the while probably trying to enjoy themselves during the process. Every path is different we can't expect everyone to be on the same one at all times.
Maybe I specifically said that in the post.
Why are “good fans” lol even pretending lard Transferring has everything to do with his suspensions. The better player watched a backup start all year with no legitimate reason why.. all the egg heads will say but cam fouled a bunch.. well cam played defense and contested shots while Jacobson jumped out of the way to ensure he stays on the floor. Lard wasn’t going to waste another year sitting behind a lesser player. good move on his part because prohms fascination with giving the opposing teams the upper hand by starting Jacobson is set in stone.Just stupid.
The people who are actually involved in the program, not an anti coach “fan” like you and the rest of the crew, know what’s happening, and are ok with team rules.
Why the **** do you, or any of the other bad fans, think you’re entitled to know anything about the rules of the program?
You look dumb and desperate

All of us can judge. I’m not giving anyone a pass, I’m just saying we have no idea what happens in the locker room or practices
As Haalands articles point out teams got to.the rim at will when Lard was in the game. The percentage of shots at the rim go through the roof with Lard in vs Jacobson. He blocks and alters more shots if course, but not nearly enough to offset the massive increase of shots at the rim allowed when Cam comes in. He was better vs osu by a long shot. 270 lb Wesson in a let em play officiating crew is better suited for Lard. Otherwise Jacobson produced better and more consistently the balance of the year. Lard was unrealized potential and the fact that once or twice a game he'd have a big block doesn't change the fact that we was not a good defender. Challenging shots is great, but not when there are so many shots at the rim to challenge because you are awful in the P&R .Why are “good fans” lol even pretending lard Transferring has everything to do with his suspensions. I have a feeling that he'll transfer to Nevada. Nevada is becoming transfer U and have been pretty successful last few years since Muss took over.
Solomon would have ate his lunch, cause that's what Solomon does. I feel sorry for the person that stole $10 from him, cause they're never gonna eat lunch again.Solomon would have been an even better match-up for Wesson anyways.
