Yeah. And he also told some of the staff members that he knows for a fact that Chizik paid Cam Newton and apparently he really dislikes Chizik.

Leach is a good guy in my book. I just don't want him at KU.

Is that why he curb stomped us in 08? I always thought it was because the Chiz couldn't coach.

Just curious , do you drop the N-word gratuitously ?

That word has an actual, recent reason for being offensive to many. Most other 'offensive' words are just 'bad' words that people freak out about because theyve been told theyre 'bad'

I don't know why people find gratuitous profanity cool and macho. Personally I think it's a sign of laziness or stupidity (I don't care if Leach has a law degre there's plenty of stupid, vulgar lawyers). I guess if it wins football games nobody cares; one can behave anyway they want.

I have met a good number of very profane lawyers who were neither lazy or stupid.

It would shock the CF Moral Police at how many honest, intelligent, and hardworking people engages in behaviors that they pooh-pooh.

Turner Gill was 5-19 and was fired and is owed $6M for the last three years.
The Chizbang was 5-19 and was promoted to the national Championship Trophy.

This. People who know me professionally would be appalled and offended at my personal life, especially when I'm in Ames. I have no shame left when I'm in that town.

So true. Both Chiz and Mcdermott failed spectacularly at ISU, and both were rewarded with bigger contracts from other schools. Gill failed spectacularly and was fired, and took a major blow to his career. What Gill did at Kansas is remarkably similiar to what Chiz did in his two years at ISU.

I saw this as well, he also rode a 10 game losing streak into the end of this season. Safe to assume that he will coach in the national championship game in the next 2 years??

That seems to be the trend.

UCLA or possibly Arizona State.

The Pirate is going to want to go somewhere that he'll be able to recruit speed easily like when he was in the state of Texas. If not Texas I see him in CA (or Arizona with easy access to CA talent) or FL. I think you're dead on; any program that would hire Skippy or Dennis Erickson will gladly hire the Pirate. The wild card might be Tennessee since they have access to SEC type talent and academics isn't an issue (just like at Tech).

Been hearing rumors of Leach to Illinois as well, its pretty much a done deal that Zook will be canned at the end of the year.

Leach will also be rumored to be going to every school with an opening until he picks one.

I agree with the premise of what you're saying, but it's pretty tough to say that a guy getting canned for sucking that has $6mil coming his way is unlucky. He'll never be a BCS head coach again, but he he can go be a RB or QB coach somewhere pulling down $200,000 a year and live a pretty good life. If that's unlucky, sign me up.

Lots of Husker fans I work with expect to see him roaming the sidelines in Lincoln next year (or very soon) in some capacity.

Gill will be hired as an assistant somewhere in BCS (probably Lincoln). I don't know if KU wants to put up with Leach's baggage. He will bring some Ws, but it will come with cost. I talked to people who used work with Leach and they did not talk highly of him (pretty much said he is an *****).
I think they should hire native Kansan that understand KU culture (basketball is always the top of priority) and passionate about Kansas/KU.

ESPN's Mark May said last week that Leach could not go 2 a conf with ESPN connect if he didn't drop lawsuit. Pac12 is with Fox.
