Great pickup by the Clones.

Great secondary class by Chizik and staff.

Wow, didn't think this one actually would happen. USC may have helped us with this one. I'm sure the in house visit by Chizik may have had something to do with it too!!! Great pick up... as I've said numerous times before..... GIMMMEEE SOME SPEED!

Isn't that like really old news? I could swear that over a month ago or so he there was a thread saying he committed, but paul never added him, maybe for the same reasons joe king has not been added yet. Also noticed on the second page there is no commit date for him.

Is leonard johnson the exciting new commit?

I know that there is talk of this fantastic new commit from over the weekend, and speculation is leonard johnson, but his name has been up at CR for awhile (I think) so I guess I am confused. I am not looking for someone to divulge premium information, I just wnat to know if Johnson is the commit (which is free knowledge at CR) or should I be getting excited for another new commit?

No they've discused LJ for a while but his name just went on the Commit list this morning officially. With this and the supposed commit on New Years of Joe King (not confirmed yet) we will be adding 2 quality players 3* and these two guys will be excellent for years to come....

Need a few more excitement type recruits and i think they will happen in the next few days/weeks.....

Next commit imo is Kendall Wright......that would be awesome for our secondary....a huge lift in talent with the 4 guys we have coming in back there.....

I was with you about Presley until they showed his Facebook link on here - NO WAY....not worth it.....

I don't care about the physical abilities, we've seen to the east what making that deal with the devil will bring......(.500 record) and 21 arrests - no thanks.....

The only thing about Wright that concerns me is he would definately be a redshirt with questions....they list him at 164 pounds....will the speed be reduced when he 180-200 pounds????

Chiz knows what he's lookin for, speed, speed, speed....and the OL/DL is big frames with long arms, both great assets for growing stud 300 pounders that can engage, disengage, and move......i love our lines..........

So what does this Johnson kid offer us. He is listed as an athelete. Does he play d-back or wide receiver? How fast is he? Chizik seems to really like 175 lb. kids with a lot of speed.

Exactly, i think we are way to sheltered here in Iowa. Just because some kid dosnt have a prim and proper facebook dosnt necessarily mean he is going to be a constant trouble maker. Yea it gives us a heads up about what he thinks about life but dont judge em on a facebook account, we are not all from the same background.

Until Chizik and co. got here, i didnt know it was possible for our coaching staff to get talented players that weve actually heard of and wanted for a while.

I don't mean to over state my thoughts here, but I am kinda excited about this recruiting class. I am not talking about individuals in the class specifically, but more about where they are coming from.

Looking at the Commitment list, we have 21 commitments. 15 of those are from Texas, Louisiana or Florida (SEC Territory and Texas where the kids seem to be born with a football). The players that have committed have been actively pursued by bigger and more successful programs than ISU. (a harsh reality) I thought Chizik was an outstanding hire, but I was more excited about his roots in the southern part of the US where ALOT of football talent is developed and emphasized. Maybe he can get some of those players in those football factory high schools to come north....it appears he is making good progress from this class.

This is his first real recruiting class and, in my opinion, an excellent sign of things to come for ISU Football.
