I commented the other day, think about how different these last 2 seasons would've been if he hadn't chosen ISU coming out of his JUCO. We would've been pretty below-average at receiver. We're going to miss him next year.
If he had gone with one of his other options coming out of Blinn, it would have been bad for ISU and even worse for him. He visited Nebraska where he could have had a career of blocking for Martinez.

They showed a replay and that was clearly a fumble lol. Idk what you or any of the people like if this post are looking at. The UT defender knocked it loose well before he hit the ground

The reviews were well done last night. Quite the improvement from last week.

But the fumble we got to start the game is an example of how letting the play go is leading to a lot of bad calls. The chance of that being a fumble is small. But because they let it play out, the call on the field went to ISU. Inconclusive review gives the ball to ISU. Same thing that happened with Breece last week.

My recall was that the broadcast showed one very quick, partial replay. I couldn't see anything pro or con., thought play should have stopped to at least take a couple more looks at at it.

It’s kind of a telling sign when a player doesn’t argue he was down. I would have guessed it was a fumble based off the replay but no real way to know. That’s not really a ref issue though. They let the play go and then conversed to discuss the play and thought it was a fumble before going to review.

100% turns into a RB once he gets the ball in his hands. I can't recall a WR at ISU like that.

When they let the play go they don't have to rule it a fumble. It just prevents one guy with one angle blowing it dead when maybe the other guys can see that the ball is out. Let it go until there is recovery and then get together and decide what they see as a group. You can review it after that if necessary.

He was still moving forward so there was no way they could blow it dead. We punched it out while he was trying to get more yards

Has definitely been one to make the play when it's needed throughout his time.

I'm high on Noel too.

On the catches where he isn't catching it in stride, I'm always impressed with how quickly he gets into the run after the catch. There have been several times he has evaded a tackler because I think the defender is expecting more of a pause after he catches it and X has already vacated the spot.
This is also what impresses me the most, his acceleration and ability to create poor angles for tacklers is crazy

Hutch and even McDonald (mind blowing how some lists completely leave him off both DE/edge and OLB lists) are so underrated on the draft boards it's not even funny.

He's a first round talent that will probably go in the third round because A) he plays at Iowa State (same receiver in the SEC and he'd be 2nd round at worst) B) doesn't have ELITE speed (but isn't slow) C) has been hurt by Manning's inability to "level the field" and exploit Hutch more on crossing routes, slants, and mid-level routes.

Hutch runs great routes, always plays is ass off, is a tenacious blocker, and has amazing hands. He's a Hines Ward/Cris Carter type receiver who will be a middle of the field and sideline monster at the next level. Whoever is smart enough to draft him will make their QB a VERY happy camper.
