Wow, in cresco? I wonder what their connection is there. They've only been around since the end of 2011, and they definitely are not nearly as wide spread as Fulton, surlys, or even 612 up here.

And you're right about bad ax being heavy, and it definitely has a different taste. I love the stuff though.

The Cresco liquor store has shockingly good beer selection for a town of 4,000. I don't know where they get it, but I've seen situations where liquor stores near a state line are getting beer from someone other than a distributor. Wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar thing happening here. Always a good supply stop prior to any expedition on the Upper Iowa.

The 10 ft 10 is my fav from them!

Holy L is my favorite West O beer. Really like that one.

10 ft 10 is a solid double though. A good buddy of mine lives within walking distance of West O. Always a great stop when in the lakes region.

Relatively new, menu always changes, have had multiple delicious beers there. No food, just beer and maybe some nuts or something. Great stuff though and the owner will be able to recommend one for you based on what you like. Usually around 12-15ish different beers at a time.

But it's in Marshalltown and everyone knows there's nothing good in Marshalltown.
