Not having Lard hurts but having another shooter out there will be a big help. Without two of our bigs we may need to take a page from last years book line up wise and run some 4 guard + G/F sets with Talley playing the Burton role. No matter what we do we are going to lose the size battle without those two so why not run all day and force their freshman to play defense on the fly.

So when Prohm says this:

Prohm said he hopes Lard will be available when the Cyclones travel to South Carolina next weekend for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Should we assume Lard will also be sitting out this Monday vs Milwaukee?

Yes

am i trying to read too much into this statement....

"At this point, it is not clear what has kept the two freshmen off the court for public consumption, but Prohm did hint that it was for similar reasons."

It means they've been on the court in practice but they have not been on the court in a place for public consumption.

Pretty sure they were just late to practice(s).
