Lindell Wigginton

I'm curious to whether or not the fact Oregon doesn't have anyone committed yet will play into his decision? We have 2 very solid commits right now and as we've all heard before, talent wants to play with other talent.

They don't have anyone committed yet and they signed a top 50 PG in the last class plus Tyler Dorsey who is a stud at PG but might go pro after this season

If Wigginton makes it here, we have a great shot, IMO. But you have to think there is a pretty decent chance he commits to Oregon before coming here.

You are seeing that trend all over college basketball recruiting. Kids are committing on their first or second visit routinely.

L. Wigginton has incredible ball handling skill IMO. Great addition. Hope we get this kid.

Our two solid commits may be the best selling point of all. Get him on campus and I think we've got a good shot. He wouldn't be the first Canadian.

Lindell has some more officials lined up. That and Prohm going to see him Monday have improved my confidence that he won't be committing to the Ducks this weekend.

@AdamZagoria
Officials for 2017 Oak Hill G Lindell Wigginton @LW6_LT :
Sept 9 Oregon,
Sept 24 Iowa St,
Oct 8 Arizona St,
Oct 15 Baylor

This is actually good news IMO

Yeah, I think he's a guy who will take a bit more time with his decision. So it'll be a lot of speculation and waiting for us fans, IMO.

Reminder.
Wigginton watch has escalated with the Oregon visit completed (though I still am going to be on alert this week). Staff is going all in, time to ratchet up the pressure on Linnell with his visit in two weeks.

@AlexHalsted Steve Prohm and Neill Berry will both be in to see 4-star PG Lindell Wigginton on Monday, he tells @CycloneAlert247. Visits Oregon tomorrow.

With Oregon coming in tomorrow, we just have to make it through that visit without a commit, and he will for sure make it to Ames.

To clarify that was a re-tweet from last Thursday. Prohm and Neill are visiting him today, obviously not out of the woods just one day after but getting him off campus without a decision is promising. Strong move by the staff to immediately move the focus on ISU after visiting Eugene. Also it does suggest a strong interest in visiting ISU by LW to accept the visit the day after taking an official visit.

I'd hope it is an easy pitch.

Prohm is a PG guru

Fun, up-tempo style

Hilton and the fan base rule

High-level competition in the Big 12

Constant national games and spotlights

Successor to Monte Morris

Don Jackson can play along you your freshman year

No reason you can't do two point guards/Jackson is a good off-ball shooter

Plenty of guard time open with Naz and Thomas graduating

After that, the 1 is all yours

Wouldn't our current recruiting class be fun to play with

Before you know it, you're Canaan/Payne/Morris in the NBA

Sound good?

Every time this thread gets bumped I'm going to assume the worst
I agree but I am now tepidly optimistic. He didn't commit to the Ducks and we have staff visiting him today. Although it's not a commitment to ISU, I don't think that can be a bad sign.
