First betting write up I see.

“Lipscomb is arguably one of the best 14-seeds of all time as a top-85 team in KenPom that can shoot the crap out of the ball.”

That’s awesome.

Highest rated 14 seed on T-Rank as well. If we turn in an Oklahoma State level of effort we could be cooked....but I don't think we will, even without KG.

Anytime we play a 3pt shooting team I’m worried. That’s our biggest weakness on defense and crazy things tend to happen in MM.

Wonder if try and go small to guard the three. This worked really well against BYU in second half of game one until they ran out of steam... obviously couldn't do so in game 2 with Tamin out.

Or could just go big and make them match up.

Interesting connection. Former Cyclone Steve Burgason has a son that played at Lipscomb.
Yep. Jordan is his name. Forgot that he was leading the nation in 3 point accuracy but sadly kicked.off the team.

Just eyeballing offensive and defensive efficiency ratings, they look comprable to UCF. UCF was ranked 53rd on offense and 110th in defensive efficiency by Kenpom, while Lipscomb is 75th on offense and 100th on defense

My read is that they’re a lower level BYU, and thinking of the home UCF game. They’ll put up points, but we won’t have much trouble scoring either.

Do they take into account the opponent on efficiency? Playing a Power conference would have better athletes than a mid major

They may shoot and make a lot of 3s... but I doubt they're BYU.
Exactly. Guessing ISU will rebound well against them so can limit second chance pts and get some. Plus unlike BYU they aren't playing big12 teams every week

Anything can happen in 1 game, especially if Tamin was to be or go out early but got to think ISU wins this 9 out of 10 times

Iowa state should not struggle against this team. However, this team is so hot and cold. If they come out playing like they did against OSU or KSU at home, they could easily be knocked out. They’re going to have to come out and kill Lipscombs hopes to right from the start.

BYU gave the gameplan to beat us, crisp ball movement and 50% 3's.
They've proven they can do both.
