What ever happened to the rule where you lose scholarships if you don't maintain a certain graduation rate? All of these people leaving have got to be killing us in that regard unless they don't count somehow. Can someone explain a little bit more on this?

I think his contract gets extended when we lose scholarships due to APR. So, he's actually creating more job security for himself.

I just heard the news about the Hamilton transfer. Honestly, I was expecting to see about 75% of the fans that were in the "keep GMac" camp change sides, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

For the last two weeks, I've been trying to convince my dad to switch sides, but he has been an ardent GMac supporter from the beginning. Today he called me and told me the news about Hamilton and also told me that he has officially joined my side. We're both lifetime Cyclone fans and Hamilton was one of the few reasons to look forward to next season. GMac needs to go. It's now just a matter of time.

Was Westbrook from Minnesota mentioned? Starter for a possible NCAA tournament team.

Though I realize you are joking. Since the question was serious... I will clarify that he only got contract extensions for scholarhips lost due the previous coach, and therefore has no more automatic extensions possible.

And I had asked this question yesterday in it's own thread. The only response I saw was that they are supposed to be in 'good academic standing' when they leave, they do not need to graduate if they haven't been here long enough to graduate.

I think most of us don't like to jump around, but are in careful deliberations about what side of the fence is best. It's not looking good for the man right now. Ham was the prototypical Gmac guy--undernoticed, develops as a big man, avoids the drama/troubles, just quietly goes out and does his job while improving all the time. Then leaves out of the blue.

No trouble signs on the horizon here. Nothing that jumps out that wild circumstances are at play, like German teams negotiating with a player during the season (who coincidentally picks up his defense and rebounding during said negotiations).

This one is just a guy that seems to have no reason that we would have seen to leave. Plenty of playing time. Loved by the fans. Still gone. And I don't see blaming Ham, because he's doing everything the right way.

Really? I don't think it's too far off. I am one who is starting to question Mac in my mind. The only people really keeping me on Mac's side are those who try to twist rediculous arguments into ones against Mac. I can't let bad arguments slide and find myself arguing for McD in those cases.

Craig leaving to go Pro is an argument that supports Mac's ability... not against it.

People saying that Ham did not improve under McD is rediculous.

People who are rude towards their fellow Cyclone Fanatics because they disagree with their opinions make it difficult to want to join that side. Not everyone is this way... but it's those posters that really keep me arguing for the other side.
