Local Sweet Corn ready?

I've not seen any local sweet corn in CR area but I gotta think it is getting close.

Anyone getting it in their area?

The Grimes people have been set up on 13th street and Grand in Ames for the past couple of weeks, the guy said it their early stuff so the ears and corn is small. But it was not bad, $10 bucks for a dozen,

$10 bucks is insane.

I always worry about the first batch being a little small or not the best.

What hybrids do you like best ? Am not fond of PC, pioneer had a sweet corn with white kernels that was awesome but haven’t found that in years.

Ears these 2 weeks have been good sized for early.

Had first batch (Penick’s) on July 3rd, smaller ears but good flavor. Bought some again today (Deardorf) and it was a lot bigger, but flavor was lacking.
