Pollard should put a scoreboard like that at Jack Trice.

Except he needs to make sure it's big enough, not like that rinky-dink thing from that postcard photo. And make sure that it stands up to the wind. I read somewhere that wind is a problem in Ames.

I agree with those who have claimed that pictures just don't do the darn thing justice. It looks towering driving by on University/Elwood and the street just north of the Jacobson. Can't wait to see it from inside the stadium.

for our field goals will it put up lines that extend the height of the posts so that we don't have a repeat of the Independence Bowl vs. Bama?

Well yeah wind is a problem in Ames - it's situated between Lincoln and Iowa City, isn't it?

Do we have a 'name' for this monster yet?

They call the one here in Austin 'Godzillatron', and I'm thinking 'Megatron' sounds pretty appropriate for the new addition at JTS.

Already taken

Hopefully no one kicks a ball through the goalpost and hits the scoreboard and knocks it over

I was thinking the other way. Could they play some distracting video on the outsides of the posts when the other team is kicking?
