It's Mahomes easy. JFC let me know when Allen does something in the playoffs. Mahomes has so many comeback victories, playoff wins, etc... This is like when people tried to say Kevin Durant was better than LeBron. Give me a ******* break.
Yep. I notice many of the Allen votes are based on what he could do, while the Mahomes votes are based on what he has done. Allen is a great QB. But he is way behind in actual accomplishments. He needs to play in a couple Super Bowls to get to Mahomes level. Then it will be a real debate.

Really fun discussion, and man is it fun watching them duke it out on the field!

313-150 + 184-92 + 129-58 + 38:15-21:45 = 10-7

Nah mine is about what they're doing now. I'm not as hung up on what they have done, PM clearly has accomplished more up to now but I think much of that is a better overall situation in KC and a much better offensive supporting cast to lean on. Now that things have leveled off there between the two Allen just looks like the better QB. Both great though.

And he knows what he has in his QB...Reid isn't giving that skillset to another coach. If healthy, Reid will retire when Mahomes hangs it up!
I mean it’s not like Andy Reid hasn’t been able to find qbs before…. He’s had Donovan mcnabb, Michael Vick, Alex smith, and mahomes

Agree...he knows when they are special...but he was a much younger man when he was coaching McNabb and Vick.

Meh, I think at some point when you look at these types of coaches and players, they aren’t necessarily looking at hitching their horse to other players and coaches (especially in the nfl)…. Look at belichek and Brady. Belicheck is still there. Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson in Seattle. Maybe this is a short sighted view but I think to be a coach at the highest level, these guys probably believe they can coach up anyone with the right management behind them.

He's never had a qb like Mahomes.

Yeah I mean 5-15 years ago it was rogers, Brady, manning, drew brees. Before that you had another 2-5 qbs that were studs. Now you have Allen, mahomes, burrow?, Tua?, Herbert? Lawrence? Maybe a little older Lamar Jackson? As all potential up and coming qbs. 10 years from now there will be another set of qbs. Andy Reid knows how to find them and coach them up. He’s done it his whole career.

This. Kelce will go down as an all-time great TE and along with Hill, those are two ridiculous offensive weapons that Mahomes has had that are way above and beyond anything Allen has had before Diggs, and even with SD he hasn't had much else.
You never mention defenses in your arguments. Mahomes has had to consistently outscore what his defense allows which has been a lot. Even Sunday's matchup you have to remember Allen is playing against a mediocre defense which is best KC has had in mahomes tenure and Mahomes was facing by what many analysts agree is a top 5 defense. Last year Buffalo's defense led league in many of the major categories including yards and points allowed. Many of Bradys titles deserve a kudos to the defenses he's had.

It's definitely Mahomes, IMO, but the Bills are better built currently so Allen will probably be the more successful of the two over the next few years.

Next year Allen's cap hit goes from 16 to 39 million so I think your 2nd point could happen sooner rather than later.

Allen is great. Probably a once in generation talent.
But Mahomes does things you think aren't supposed to happen. How many plays have happened where you could say "did he just do that?" So many intangibles that puts him on top.
I don't think he's peaked at all. I think he still plays a little immature and still has lots to learn. If he stays healthy and has good talent, he will always keep the team near the top.

Yeah,Mahomes has only “peaked” in that he had legendary stats, won the Super Bowl, and made plays that nobody else can. Expectations for him are always the highest.

So, should we revisit this question? Game, Set, and Match it's Mahomes. Maybe we need a Mahomes or Burrow thread?
I'm honestly floored with the current results of this poll. It's a terrible take that Allen is even close to the same stratosphere as Mahomes. 77 people who took this poll in here are just plain wrong.

I wont be surprised if we find out Allen was dealing with an injury in the 2nd half of the year. That said, Burrow belongs in this conversation.

Could be, but that has to factor in to it. Relying as much as he does on running he is going to get injured. Mahomes just beat the Jags on one leg.

Mahomes
Burrow
Allen

If Burrow wins a super bowl this year that discussion gets interesting though

His turnover numbers are a big contrast. Allen had nearly twice the number of turnovers, this year than Mahomes did. He was near the top of the league in both fumbles and interceptions. It's a significant shortcoming in his game.
