We're talking Big 12 Tournament, not NCAA Tournament.
The Big 12 Tournament is meaningless except that it's a weekend away for fans to go get drunk. Results there are meaningless and no one cares about Big 12 Tourney Titles.
We're talking Big 12 Tournament, not NCAA Tournament.
People talking about Texas at home need to remember Kansas is the only team to win in Hilton this season and last season. Team is almost impossible to beat at home.
That means nothing when projecting forward. Look at the match up, not history. Did past success at home make a difference for Kansas versus SDSU? NOPE. Bad match up+ bad shooting=LOSS. Texas will be a handful for ISU no matter where they play the game.
I see little chance of you making the team and suiting up.I agree. I hate wearing cardinal jerseys.
Yeah, I think we can go 7-2 and perhaps 8-1 in the second half. I think we're okay. I would like to replay that KU game at home, but other than that, I think we've done a great job. We need to steal one on the road and OSU is ripe tomorrow night.
At the beginning of the season, coming into the first exhibition game, I think we ALL would have taken 24-6 with a Top15 RPI, prior to the conference tournament. I still think that would be a very good outcome.
A rational call on ejims tipped thunder dunk and we're on the verge of blowing out Texas. They're hot now but I don't agree with those saying ISU doesn't match up.
twocoach logic = Texas somehow beat the magical Jayhawks so they are suddenly by far the next best team in the conference.
Now they may indeed be better than ISU but I think it's a little bit of a leap to suddenly act like they're going to come into Hilton and win. As others have said, it just doesn't happen (obviously except for Kansas who is completely loaded this year as they are every year).
This site predicts a 4-way tie for 2nd with 11-7 records: http://www.rpiforecast.com/confs/B12.html
I think we have lost 4 games at Hilton in the past 3 years. KU this year, KU last year, UNI and Mizzou the year before.
By the way, this includes home wins against...
2013-14
#7 Michigan
#10 Iowa
#7 Baylor
#22 KSU
#23 OU
2012-13
#11 KSU
#13 OSU
2011-12
#5 KU
#9 Baylor
So winning out at home isn't a given, but shouldn't surprise anyone either.
You are doubting MY logic after that ISU fan said that ONE BAD CALL kept ISU from blowing out Texas (a game that Texas won by 10 points and led for all of the last 14+ minutes? Okey dokey...You haven't given a single example of WHY Texas cannot win @Hilton except that other teams haven't done it in other years. That means nothing in this game. Why has Kansas been able to do it? Don't get me wrong, at this point in conference play, I would rather have ISU win that game instead of Texas. I am not concerned about ISU in the running for the Big 12 title. Any losses that someone can give to Texas only help KU in the race for the Big 12 title. I will be cheering hard for ISU.twocoach logic = Texas somehow beat the magical Jayhawks so they are suddenly by far the next best team in the conference. Now they may indeed be better than ISU but I think it's a little bit of a leap to suddenly act like they're going to come into Hilton and win. Like I have said, I am not saying that Texas is guaranteed to win that game. I am just saying that they are the type of team that will give ISU some serious issues, no matter where they play the game. They have already beaten ISU at home and now have the confidence of a bludgeoning of Kansas to lean on. They won't be intimidated by the ISU atmosphere at all. ISU has beaten some greeat teams at home, I agree. It doesn't mean they will beat EVERY great team at home without question. Do Kansas a favor and beat Texas, please.I think we have lost 4 games at Hilton in the past 3 years. KU this year, KU last year, UNI and Mizzou the year before.
It would have been nice if whoever devised that little simulator could have actually figured out how to list the games in a manner that identifies who is the home team and who is the road team. Kinda silly without that.
I like how you mix ranking in there. Iowa was NOT #10 when we played them, they were 23. Baylor was #7 when we played them, but now are not ranked. Other than that, I agree with you.
