I think he probably did at other places. I don't think he has to, now. He's pitching a dream team of the best talent in the country, and a national title shot ever year. He's pitching a one year NBA primer to these kids. He's pitching the 1st round of the draft. He's pitching the lottery. He's pitching the millions of dollars and shoe contracts that these kids will be getting after a year, and he's got the track record to back it up.

Yeah but so is Izzo and Coach K and Self etc. How can he get so many kids and not have to worry about kids getting hung up on playing time etc. As they do other places. It is frankly unprecedented in the history of modern college basketball. A normal market would naturally distribute despite the inherent benefits, he has shattered any kind of reasonable kentucky bump. Given his history and how easy it is to actually cheat and get away with it (especially as he has learned from his past) If I could look under the hood and see what really goes on I would be shocked if I learned they were not. I don't think Self, Izzo or coach K cheat and I doubt Roy does well at least in getting them there. It is a shady game and hard to rein in over ambitious boosters even if the coaches are above board.

Watch Trojan War, the 30 for 30 on USC. Tons of money changing hands. Reggie Bush and his family just messed up by making it too big and obvious.

I really enjoyed this article.

I don't enjoy that no one loves Iowa State enough for us to have our own bag men. We're so bad at cheating that we could get punished for other teams cheating. We're the team that the NCAA has no problem making an example of.

Re-read the article because I don't want to work too hard today.

This might be the funniest section of the whole article:

"Hey, how'd he get that ride? His uncle bought it. How did his uncle buy it? Paid cash. Paid cash, how'd he do that? ****, we don't know, but here's the receipt where he paid cash, and now y'all ain't got ****. Go tell the NCAA you think we're cheating because this kid's uncle bought him a used Tahoe in cash, you racist."

Not suggesting Self's cheats, but there are plenty of KU connections, as through AAU, Adidas, etc., in the right places to give them advantages.

I know Iowa State didn't really have much of a chance with this guy, but hot damn does this guy have some serious skills.

I was just think by about this the other day. Seems pretty far fetched that we ever thought he would ever come to Iowa state.
