I grew up there, Parents owned the Tastee Freez on Center Street until I graduated from ISU in '80. I was back there in July this summer for the first time in like 20 years and I hardly recognized the place - looks shabby to me. Even the Freez looked bad, run down, it really sucked to see how it had changed...
I lived in Marshalltown briefly when I was going to School at MCC, in 1981. Frequented the Pyramid dance club every Wednesday night . Hard to believe it has almost been 30 years.
