Honest question - was Doc that good a recruiter?
Doc is supposed to be a good juco recruiter. I would just love to have him for his defensive coaching. Move Cornell to the primary recruiter.

"I'll look at the best possible candidate," Hoiberg said. "I'll look at someone that can recruit at a high level, and someone with knowledge on the floor."
Hoiberg said that even could include former assistants like T.J. Otzelberger, now an assistant at Washington, and Doc Sadler, the head coach at Southern Mississippi.
"We'll see how that plays out in the next couple days." "Hope to have it done in a couple of weeks ... in as short a time frame as possible," Hoiberg said.
I feel like this was rather poor writing by Randy
It insinuates that those are who is on FH's list, but really fred could have just as easily said the quoted parts and the other parts came from a follow up question where it was about whether those coaches could be on the list, and fred probably was like "yeah, sure it could be" (could be them and about 100 other people too)

That would be a disaster from a recruiting standpoint
Maybe Otz wasn't a Georges advocate back in the day? He's probably changed his mind by now I assume so it shouldn't be a problem.
More TJ smoke...
@TravisHines21: After speaking w/ multiple sources, it's becoming clearer that T.J. Otzelberger is emerging as ISU's top target to replace Matt Abdelmassih.

Oh an ISU assistant job is open? I think (insert literally any former player ISU in history) would be good.
