As hard as it is to do, let's try not to equate the 8 ****** bag trolls that post here and handful of internet trolls scattered elsewhere on the web as all of Hawkeye nation.
It doesn't drive them crazy. The fans I've spoken to think it's either silly or cheesy, which it is.
You don't get back to Iowa much, do you?
We have never "stolen" many recruits from Iowa, yet the sweating has been ongoing since the early 2000's.
I think most ISU fans would agree. The video isn't great, but that's what athletic departments put out sometimes. I don't think the video is the worst thing, but it's not great either.
It's way better than the ginger dance party or "let's get mad again", but still not good either.
If we want to talk about what sets off Iowa fans? Georges blowing them a kiss and almost never beating ISU at basketball seems to really do it. Pretty much everything JP has ever done or said since the billboard as well. My favorite was complaining about bowling in the end zone because we couldn't fill it, then we fill it and they have bad attendance during their best regular season of all time.
In one of his post game or media day press conferences he came right out and said it was very difficult to get good recruits to come to Ames because of the weather, and location I believe.
I love it.
The best part was what they were claiming was "fine print" was in big bolded and cardinal background letters. I don't think they understand what fine print means over there at BHGP.
They just mastered reading last semester, let's give 'em a break on typography.
I'm sure Campbell wrote the info graphic all himself, BHGP (referencing the ego comment). I'll admit, I roll my eyes at it too but nobody outside of the program/state is going to wonder enough to do research on it like Iowa fans.
After 7 loooongggg years of Professor Harold Hill's excremental hot air about 76 trombones just around the corner, was hoping for a coach that was more about the cattle than the damn hat. But, I suppose, this beats a newly minted coin. Sigh!
Edit: To be fair, I suspect this particular embarrassing kerfuffle has more to do with Mr. Pollard than the Coach. At least, I hope so. An AD Who has been legendarily more forecast than snow accumulation.

Actually the sweating has been going on since 1998 when Danny Mac and company went over to eiu and thumped'em...
I wonder why Iowa ever plays us since they cant take losing to a Great School like Iowa State.....Just food for thought...
