Matt Thomas feels relief after committing to Iowa State

My roomate's brother works for a small sports radio station in WI and he compared Thomas to Scotty, but said Thomas would be better at creating his own shots. I can't wait to see him in a Cyclone jersey.
In HS at least, I would say he compares more to the Mayor, as he rebounds very well for his position, has textbook post moves, and oh-yeah, shoots the hell out of the ball. Time will tell how it translates to college ball.
Keep in mind he's already bigger than Scott.

In the past year, he has gotten very good at shooting from the bounce. In fact, I would estimate half the shots he took in the state tournament where off the dribble. Very confident in shooting, and finding his own shot. Does not need much space to shoot - rises and releases high and quick. He made 3's with two guys in his face.
Another great recruit! I can't put into words how fun it is to watch Hoiberg build a program one piece at a time.

Just tried to find whatever clips I could on this kid. From what I saw on YouTube, he looks like a legit bomber in the Hurl Beechum mold (with much more athleticism and without the ridiculous arc on his shots).
