Ah, my bad. I see how it would come across that way. No, that was just Roy Williams paranoia coming through. It was simply somebody asking Bossi if Thomas would move up...answer, "Yes!".

I'm just gonna leave this here. This is the first image that pops up when you google "I hate Roy Williams"

I don't think it's completely over. I think every now and then we will snag a transfer. I mean this year we targeted 3 transfers in Lockett, Finney-Smith, and Uthoff. Unfortunately missed on all 3. I could definitely see us trying to land a transfer after the 2012-2013 season though since we have such a huge class to fill. We will especially try to sign one if it's a scenario where they can play right away in the 2013-2014 season. I would say after the 2013-2014 season though the transfer route will be over with besides a random transfer every few years.

I feel like that's just a common sense approach to recruiting in the current MBB environment. It's late spring, so nobody you're picking up is going to come in and be an impact player the next season. So you can either take a project who still might not pan out by his Sophomore year, or a proven commodity that you can more accurately project where he'd improve the team after his red-shirt. Seems like a no-brainer.

Fred will go after good transfers, but the days of Team Transfer are over.

There will always be a few juco and transfer players on ISU's roster. To say you are not doing that handcuffs you as a recruiter. That is a solid and safe market to pick up players.

(sometimes all you need is a bunt move the runner over not to swing for the fence)
