I see us sneaking past UNI, getting smoked by Iowa, and beating Drake in a close game.

My guess is that we'll win each of those games for which we are able to shoot at least 40% from the 3-point range. Unfortunately, only 1 of the 3 games is at home, so it will be an even greater challenge to shoot well from the outside. But you never know. We could go 3-0 or 0-3.

Well, it could also have something to do with the fact that Drake is struggling this year.

What I meant is that if it was at Drake, I'd favor Drake by 4.

Drake is kind of like us. One game they rolled and they went 15-27 from 3, just like we did against Milwaukee.

When you have two teams rely on the 3, it's hard to predict what will happen.

Drake is an easy pick. That's probably dangerous, because they rise up against us when they're least likely to do that. (Except last year. They were much more likely than we were last year.)

UNI looks like a game we can win. I really hope we do, to get the road monkey off our backs. I haven't followed them real well, but I know they were blown out by Marquette, but got a win over Auburn. My homer glasses tell me we have a good chance here.

Iowa is the one that stands out as the most trouble, and mostly just because of the rivalry aspect. I think we're good enough to beat them out there, but they could have a sudden hot streak. I don't think their inside game is much to write home about, and we need to be smart enough to feed Brackins way down low.

I voted for all three, but in the interest of full disclosure, I would say Iowa is the toughest of the three for us right now. I really want to win that one, so the ride home doesn't seem so long. And as a certain coach said when he was introduced, "It's just so much fun to beat those Hawks."

They will fill it up against us. Might be the only time this year, but it will happen...

They didn't fill it up two years ago against us:

ESPN - Iowa State vs. Iowa - Box Score - December 08, 2006

Check the attendance, about 1,000 empty seats for an in-state rivalry game!

And there's plenty of tickets available even now for this year's game. $27 each, no season ticket required and no donation required. I just entered a quantity of 99 and it was readily available. Jamie P. should get word out for ISU fans to buy them up:
