Great idea. It makes me sad that it only takes 56 wins to hold the career record at ISU, but otherwise it's a good way to connect with certain "stuck in the past" fans.

Only problem is this will increase the vocality of the crazies that think we should hire LE back if/when Prohm leaves.

That's a great move by Campbell. He's pressing all the right buttons so far. I hope this opens up the door to start welcoming back some other Cyclone greats and getting them involved with the program.

It's a pretty savvy move on Matts part. Matt doesn't know the Iowa high school coaches yet and I have no doubt Mac is beloved by those same coaches. What better opportunity for Matt to get to know Coach Mac and get credibility with the high school coaches at the same time.

Coach Campbell is going above and beyond in trying to be welcoming to former letterwinners and getting them involved in the program.

I for see much running up the middle on 3rd and 11 along with wide right-championship blowing misses at the field goal clinic ;)

Great gesture. Mac has done some much for ISU football even though it didn't end the way anyone wanted, that's pretty small in comparison to his other accomplishments.
After Chizbang five wins in two years and CPR eight wins in three years, WELCOME BACK, DAN.

No doubt about it. Going to be real, real special. Tremendous, tremendous guy.

Someone needs to make a Dan McCarney sound board!

In a seriousness, I'm really looking forward to meeting both these guys. Excited to see Coach Campbell is embracing former Cyclones

The thing that I think many are overlooking here is how Campbell appears to be a real strategist! If this higher level thinking conveys into play calling and game planning... we'll be in great shape!

As well they should. We saw that article a few weeks ago about Keith Sims stopping by and the athletic department arranging a tour of the new facilities for him once they realized who he was. They should always welcome back any former players.
