I coached an AAU team for a couple years, didn't lose any of my players, and we had a better record the 2nd year than the first year. Am I qualified for the job?

I just went to cyclones.com to look at the roster for MBB just to look at potential lineups for next year. Why have Ham and Buckley been removed from the 2009-2010 roster? Last time I checked they were a part of the 2009-2010 team.

Basketball (M) - Roster - Iowa State University Athletics Official Web Site - www.CYCLONES.com - The home of Iowa State Cyclone Sports

All the other former players are still on their rosters. Wesley Johnson is listed 2 years ago. I don't get it. Is somebody actually ****** at those two to the point they are eliminating them from the record this year?

I think you are right......I think someone is that ****** off, and has just taken their name off the roster. I noticed this a few months ago with Lucca......and I think I commented on it in a thread......they took his name off this year's.......AND PREVIOUS YEARS! If you look at the roster a couple of years from now, there will be no evidence Lucca was ever on one. Makes no sense at all. Honestly, I just think it shows how "childish" this program can act. Just my opinion. But how else can it be explained? Why do you remove Lucca from all rosters, yet leave WJ on?

I agree that everyone who was on the roster for a given year should remain there, if for no other reason than as a nice reference when looking back at previous season.

Exactly, plus it is an accurate record, while anything else they show is inaccurate. I just don't understand what they did with Lucca's name at all.....or with Buckley's and Ham's now. It's just so childish. Plus, to be consistent, if you take Lucca's off previous years, then shouldn't you also remove Ham's and Buckley's from the previous year? I don't know if an entire basketball program can be called immature, but whoever is making the decisions to remove these names from the rosters, on the OFFICIAL ISU Athletics website, certainly fits that description.

Ham leaving is a surprise
I still wouldn't be surprised if Colvin, Dendy or Boozer aren't on the team next fall
At least I can shut off my ESPN Gameplan in December next year and save $100
One more year to go with McD, then we can "officially" start over again

We'll get 13th place in the big 12 next season. I always said it expecting to be proven wrong somehow but Greg McDermott is our version of iowa's Steve Alford. They were the downfalls of each program. The only good basketball in this state is confined to UNI and Ames High now.

If GM were a funeral director, no one would die.

Depends on whether you are a nice guy or not. Wins don't matter. Just be a nice guy because it's really hard to find a nice coach that loses.

I don't foresee boozer or Dendy leaving as it will be their senior seasons. People don't realize that Ham did not fit into GM's system or the Big 12. Here's why:

1. Does not have soft hands.
2. Not fast or quick enough
3. Troy Davis had a higher wunderlic score than Ham's Vertical
4. Can not shoot anything outside of 6ft from the basket
5. He just doesn't seem to "get it" when the guards are on the move

There is so much fail in your post, especially #4. Terrible post.

Seriously? If there is one person on that team that fits Mac system it is Ham. He is a half court player. Mac is a half court coach. Ham does not really fit the rest of the team but he most certainly does fit Macs system. Not a lot of 7 foot guys are real quick by the way. If they were that would be one heck of a guard to have.

Correct on the first part, I'm not sure what i was typing when i said GM. I'm not talking quick as in being able sprint around defenders, but having better footwork and being more agile. Jared Homan was a great post. He was not fast but had good footwork. Same with Paul Shirley.

I can agree with that but Ham is a different player. You don't just find his height all over the place.

I'm away from CF for 2 and half days and bombs drop. Hamilton IMO was our best post player. Just another kick to junk that has been this last week.

One thing that has not been mentioned is that Ham can get down court on defense a lot better this year than last year.
