No meltdown here. Brock played his first bad game (it happens) as a Cyclone, our play calling needs fixed, and our defense missed #12.

Still looking at 7 wins IMO and when a football season offers you 7 wins you gladly take it and smile as an ISU fan.

If Brock gets back to throwing the ball like a human being, will still beat ku and Texas.
Yep, 2-2 is probably the most likely outcome but we could end the year 1-3 with a slight chance of going 3-1 but we would have to have a lot go our way and just not seeing it happening. We just aren't as good as we all hoped we were.

There are worse places to go.

I think most people on here thought we'd win more than 7 games this year. I even heard some say 10.

I think I said 7-8.... which 7 would now probably be about the best we could hope for IMO.

Clones had a bad game today, really makes me thankful for how good purdy is most of the time. The bye week should help this team a lot and allow them to review their mistakes. I think the last time the cyclones made a trip to Norman there was a little controversy and anger after a bad loss the game before... just sayin ;)

I mean, it's not impossible. We're going to fall to 5-5 after the next 2 and Kansas State and Kansas are competent so we have to show up for those. 6-6 would really bite but we'll beat someone in there

Texas isn’t a guaranteed L. Have you not seen them?
Usually would agree with this but they've completely shut our offense down to a horrible degree our last few meetings. Think their coaches just have our guys numbers. Hope I'm wrong because getting shut down by this Texas defense would be embarrassing.

Texas has a defense nothing like the last 3 years. Plus they lost like 8 of 11 starters on that side of the ball and a lot of their DL. They are also leading the nation in missed tackles. They just don’t look all that.

This game was actually a success and went exactly as game planned!

Just nobody told us prior to the game that Purdy had decided to go as Trubisky for Halloween. We’ll be back in the W column soon enough.

Looked more like Cutler.

Oklahoma state kept us out of the end zone pretty well today, but I disagree that their defense gave us fits. Vanilla play calling and 3 gifts of interceptions by purdy made their defense look a lot better than it truly is. Not sure who they play next, but they'll get lit up.

As for ISU having an extra week to plan and prepare following a humbling loss, that's great and all, but so does OU. I'm thinking we lose a tight one, but bounce back to beat Texas, and then go 1-1 vs teams from Kansas.
