This is either awesome as all hell (I say this even as an Iowa fan), or this is the absolute greatest troll in the history of trolling.
It is legit. CW mentioned this sometime early on in this thread.

Melvin,

First of all, I personally want to thank you for a great 4 years you gave the fans of Iowa State. Not only were you a fantastic player, but even more so, you were a great ambassador for Iowa State. You truly represent what a student athlete is all about in my opinion.

i have one question, and if you want to decline answering it I would understand. I personally believe TJ is quite capable of being a head coach, and like anyone, just needs an opportunity. And I know you have a close relationship with him, so I don't feel there is anyone more qualified to answer the following question.

If Jamie Pollard were to call you, and ask you, as a former player, would you endorse the hiring of TJ to be the next coach at Iowa State should Coach Hoiberg dart for the NBA? If so, why? If not, no further explanation needed.

Best of luck to you in whatever you pursue. You will always be an ICON in Ames.

Way up there
Wow, this is the most interesting thing to happen here in the off season since maybe ever. Welcome aboard Mel!

It is really cool. It'd be great if ANY former ISU player did this, let alone one of the most beloved Cyclones of all time. Ejim is Cyclone royalty

Edit: I paid absolutely zero attention to the time stamps. I'm way behind the curve here (like my allegiances didn't give that away already, in all of your eyes).

Ready to make the switch yet? I've always thought you'd make a good convert. Join the revolution.

Yes. Rahshon is a Fanatic. Just hasn't made an appearance on our forum for some time. He resides in Florida, and I believe the last time we heard from him was prior to him coming to the Iowa vs. Iowa State game in Hilton two seasons ago. I like Rahshon, much like Mel was loyal to CyclONEnation for four years.

Didn't Rahshon Clark come on here once before?

Not gonna happen. You should be happy that I'm a pretty big ISU fan (at least for an Iowa fan) whenever they're not playing Iowa.

Hahah earlier in my career they may have been but thank God for lotion

My dad played in the state tournament in the 1930's (yea I am that old). One of his teammates slicked his hair up for the big stage and couldn't catch the ball because he kept pushing his hair back.

Mel - Are you happy with the way that everything played out with McD leaving prior to your freshman year after he originally recruiting you and then getting the chance to play for Fred for 4 years?

I am extremely greatfull for the opportunity to played for Fred and keeping my commitment. But I'm also happy coach Mac was able to go somewhere and be successful as well. Things just worked out well for all of us.
