Heavy advantage over Miami. As someone else mentioned, they only have 3000 fans per home game, they have a smaller alumni base, and they don’t have nearly as many alums in Chicago (can someone check this on LinkedIn search function which shows it for different schools in Chicago metro area?). I bet KU has bought a lot of tickets as well while Providence based out of RI is much weaker.

Miami airplane trip looks to be around $425 for that weekend round trip and is 3 hours while driving is 20 hours.

Plenty of Cyclones and some Jayhawks in Chicago.

I hope so, but this is going to be an expensive ticket. Just got the email from the AD and the school only gets 1,000 tickets. Hate to compete against KU fans for market tickets.

This is crazy. A Final Four for the 'clones is looking like a very real possibility! I'd expect us to beat Miami, wear 'em down. And we darn near beat KU at Allen if I recall correctly. The Grill's gotta be dreaming about that possibility!

Hell I hate watching us. Lol.

Was pondering this....in years past when we have elite offenses that can just outgun teams, we were screwed in the dance when shots didn't fall. This year we're just used to shots not falling and the defense is just so damn good we find a way.

I think ISU is better equipped to defend them than Auburn was. But ISU is going to have to take care of the ball and not give them easy fast break points. Should be a damn good game and I would take Miami every day of the week over playing Auburn with their size inside.

We can think about.
When it comes to postseason play I actually am very superstitious. Silly or not I see way too many times fan bases counting the chickens before they hatch and then the sports Gods bring you back to earth.

Iowa basketball this past weekend is a prime example. Both their men’s and women’s teams were basically penciled into the Sweet 16 and Final Four by that whole fanbase and many outsiders. We had the same thing with UAB.

I just want to beat Miami.

We get Harlan!

It's great!

Lucked out with the Nantz group following Duke and being their usual protocol of the CBS guys (Nantz, Eagle) doing Friday/Sunday and the Turner guys (Anderson, Harlan) doing Thursday/Saturday.

Had Duke lost, it would've been Eagle/Spanarkel and Spanarkel is God awful. No idea how they use him in that high profile spot.

I do wonder how we will match up with the quick guards Miami has. I like our chances, but that is one area that could be tough.

Miami only had 7 turnover total over their first two games. If they keep protecting the ball like that, it will be tough. Hopefully our defense confuses them like it has every other non-conference team.
