We have actually recruited over him so probably just a playing time thing.

The staff has had a lot of misses.
Actually, what it means is that recruiting has been progressively upgraded, so that guys who were once solid recruits with a chance to see the field one day are now being passed by younger players.

Antoine was switched from corner to safety this Spring, because we had four solid corners and two good recruits coming in.

The situation at safety isn’t really any less crowded with talent.

I thought he had some talent at corner. Good luck to him wherever he lands.

Sucks to lose him. Probably would've played some meaningful snaps at S had Johnson not stayed/converted to S.

Word has it the staff loves Malik Verdon. Trevon Howard is already on campus, and Jeremiah Cooper is going to be a stud. And that’s not counting all of the guys returning at safety with at least special teams experience.

It’s great to see how this program is progressing.

Both can be (and are) true. Most of our transfers are ending up outside of the P5. That's a pretty good indicator to me.

To the contrary, I think it shows a number of good players are frustrated there are so many other good players around them which is limiting their opportunity for playing time.

According to Bill Collins who wrote Good to Great, a classic book on business where he studied exceptional companies turnover is a great sign when an organization is culture driven. It’s not only important to find great talent but the culture will police itself and folks that don’t fit the culture leave. Trust the Process!

Good point (though pretty sure that must have been Bill’s brother Jim that wrote the book). : )
